In maths we are looking at grid references.

Here is a picture of our "human grid" we made this morning.

We started to build our chairs for different Egyptian gods.

The adults helped with some of the difficult cutting but we will be ready to begin painting by the end of next week.

Howard Carter came in to our classroom today to tell us about his day in Egypt in July 1922.

He then set us the task of rewriting his diary entry, where we needed to pretend to be him!

Today, as part of our PSHE unit on keeping safe, we learnt about how to keep safe in or near water.

We had a really good discussion!

Can anyone remember any of the do's and don'ts they came up with?

We did some drama with Miss Crook outside today, since the weather was so lovely.

We are learning more about Howard Carter every day!

This afternoon we heard stories written by the children in Class 2. We were impressed with all their efforts and ideas!

We played a game to help us learn our spellings.

Mrs. Philips came in to tell us about her trip to Egypt this afternoon and we learnt a lot through her experiences.

She told us about the magical pyramids and the incredible heat she encountered whilst on holiday, amongst lots of other interesting facts.

Running club was beautiful in the sun this morning!

We are learning, stage by stage, about Howard Carter's experiences as he travelled to Egypt in the early 20th Century.

Today we started to write a report about his journey to Egypt.
