Wallace and Gromit

We are learning about persuasive writing techniques in Literacy either side of half term. We are going to create a leaflet to persuade people to buy 'A Close Shave' on DVD. In order to persuade people, we need to know the story and the characters really well.

I'm hoping some of the children in our class can comment about what Wallace and Gromit are like as characters and give their own description of the friendly pair!

I think Wallace is an enjoyable character to watch. He is funny,friendly and very talentive.

I think Gromit is a quite dog but very clever, mischiefious and crafty.

He is clever because when the moter bike broke off of side cart he new straight away what he should do, and the correct button to press.

I think Gromit is very clever and serious. I think Wallace is quite silly and is brilliant at inventing things. I think they work together as a pair well because they are oppisites.

this is a fabatastike film by the making and what they put into it i enjoyed every second of it because wallace and gromit are opposite gromit is serious and wallace takes things as jokes!! it is an awsome film but not only "a close shave" but all of them there are 5 or 6 of them and i enjoy all of them so i am sure you will !!

Gromit is a very brave dog who enjoys adventures, he is a good partner with Wallace as Wallace always seems to find trouble.
Gromit has saved Wallace from lots of tricky situations.

Preston is a clever dog who tries to turn Shaun and his flock into dog food, but luckily Gromit flies in on his mini aeroplane and knocks Preston into the shaving machine. When Preston comes out he shows everyone he is a robot.

Gromit is a clever and suspicious dog he is also loyal and helpfull to his best friend wallace.

wallace is a inventer most of his inventions go wrong but his trustworthy friend is alwase there to save the day.

They both love cheese and they adore wenslydale.

i recomend if you want a good story you just have 3 adjectives in one sentence and DO NOT use any more than 5 characters in one chapter or at all in your story!!!!!!

I think you should watch Wallace and Gromit they are excellent characters by the way they are made it is incredibly good about 24 shots for a couple of secs it is just amazing i have watched all the films of them and at one point in ever single one i have laughed my head off that is another reason why you should watch the amazing characters.Also they don't do things like us the have a porridge machine and a leaver and Gromit pulls the leaver then porridge comes out into Wallace's bowl its awesome!!

I think Wallace is talented but doesn't always use his common sense.
Whereas Gromit does and he also has heroism like shaun.

Preston is the greatest character because he is evil and robotic but is a very clever inventor, and belongs to Wendelene. He is good but turns evil, always starts a fight. He doesn't talk he just uses expression. He is a robber oh no!!! He is the best spy in the world.

Wallace is clever and inventive, however he is not very observant! Gromit is also clever and he's very patient - allowing Wallace to order him about! Wallace falls in love very easily, but his biggest love is cheese!!!

Wallace is funny because his inventions sometimes go wrong! Gromit is a problem solver. He is more than just a pet dog - he is Wallace's best friend but he is treated like a servant! (And Shaun is very cute!)

Gromit is treated like a servant because he does everything for Wallace and takes the blame for things - even if they are not his fault!!

Wallace makes good inventions, but he's a bit silly as they don't always work. Gromit is suspisious and he always knows whats going on. Shaun is brave and saves the day!
